Located in Bangalore, India, the Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media (IIJNM) functions as one of the top post-graduate journalism schools in South Asia. The school was founded in 2001 and since then has continued to impress news organizations with the graduates it has produced. The Institute claims to have achieved almost 100% job placement for its graduates, and even guarantees placement in top media organizations to students who graduate in first class. Although IIJNM does not have national accreditation, the program used at the Institute was developed in association with that of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. As a student, you are able to choose a concentration in Broadcast, Print, or Multimedia Journalism, while also receiving practical training through media workshops and frequent news-reporting trips to nearby Bangalore City. English is the primary language used at the school, although students from all over East Asia attend there.
